Comedy of erors or alls well that ends well

Post by tonyjer »

Hi Everyone

Have finally mastered the recommended workflow which negates the bugs in UVS8.

I have one final question:

One is recommended to create the mandatory video file prior to DVD burn.

When you do this and then go to share/create disk and then add video....

You always seem to end up with a main menu and then a secondary menu when you add/edit chapters.

Ie when you burn the DVD you end up with a main menu which you activate to find the chapters you have just created.

Its not the end of the world but is this the consequence of creating a separate video file before burning the DVD.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Tony,
I'm glad to hear that you have burned a good DVD.
No, its not a consequence of using video files.
I usually keep each of my projects short (5 - 15 minutes) and make a video file of each one. When I burn a DVD, I usually add several video files. Each one has a top level menu and its own submenus. So, when I play the DVD, the opening screen shows all the top level menus. Then I can select any one of them and drill down to the detail level for starting playback.
