Video Filters

Post by ugarm »

I have a problem with the video filters on VideoStudio 11. When I select a clip and press Attribute, I still only get the video thumbnails in the panel, not the video filters. I also can't find video filters in the library manager. This is a new problem, it used to work.

Please click here --> Image so that we can then view your system specifications. Then I will know if you have Vista or XP - the file locations differ between these two systems.

You have to close VideoStudio and then delete VFilter.rsf from the following location

Vista.
C:\Users\Stephen\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application
Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0

If it's not there, it somehow has been deleted. However everytime you start VS, it the file is not there it should rebuild it.

Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products

Sorry, I can't find the "advanced" as described in the instruction

(1 Launch Windows Explorer and go to tools\folder option\advance setting to check "show hidden files and folders". )

I have three tabs; General, View and File types (in Swedish, don't know the English headings). There is an Advanced under the File types, but it doesn'twork the way described.

OK, most of it done but I encountered some problems and did not want to proceed further without consulting u:

I reached #5 but could not find any Installshield. Before that I had problems deleting a few files - according to messages they were in use by another program (no other program running except the browser).

Should I proceed with number 6 anyway?

You've lost me! What are these #5 and #6 you are referring to? What has InstallShield got to do with anything? What are other files were you trying to delete? Steve only advised you to find and delete one file, and there's nothing #5 or #6 about that!!!

There is some confusion. Steve asked me to delete a file and I replied it was not there. Then another admin replied that if I could not find it, it must be gone and advised me to re-install, supplying a link to another thread where I could read how to do that (#1-8 I think). Look further up.

Ken, I think he is doing the re-install that Ron advised.
