When trying to install pictureshow the demoshield window opens, closes and a message saying that a serious problem has occurred and it needs to close. The installation stops, closes, ends.
I explore the CD, find the .exe file open it and the program seems to install properly.
When I try to run the program I get the same error message and it closes.
I am reading that demoshield is tied to quicktime, which I am having problems with. Do you know if this true. I uninstalled pictureshow, reinstalled and downloaded/ran the update. No luck.
Any advice on installation?
Quicktime advice? I spent an hour with apple on the phone. They could not fix the problem.
I have used this product for 3 years, with good results. I am having to reinstall because my hard drive went bad.
I appreciate any help you can give me, thanks.

Hopefully you have not tried to "upgrade" to Vista and are still using XP.
You say thst your hard drive went bad - please elaborate - what happened t it and are you still using the same hard drive. If so you may need to check the hard drive for errors.
Start | Run | chkdsk c: /r

installation/demoshield
The hard drive broke, so it had to be replaced. Pictureshow always worked before, problems came with new installation.
I have not and don't plan to upgrade to Vista.
