Save menus created from "Create Disc" function

Post by GeorgeC »

When I have finished a project and then gone to <Create Disc> I create a menu with titles etc. When I close the project it says "saving project" however when I reload later and go again to <Create Disc> all the chapter marks are retained but the menus and titles are gone. Is there any way to save this for future use/re-editing?

Thanks,
George

That "Saving Project" is really deceiving. We don't know what or where it's saving, if it's saving anything at all. Obviously not. At least not until you get back to the editor. This is where you really save your project. Even with nothing in the editor time-line, this is still considered a project.

So before closing VS, or starting a new project, immediately after closing the burn module, go to File>Save as, and save the project. Then all your menus, chapters, ect., in the burn module will be saved. So next time just open that project file, and they will be there.

I think this is something that Corel needs to revamp. There should be the common Save as or Save in the burn module itself.

Some of us are so anal that we even close the burning module on a regular basis while creating menus etc, to save our work. And of course, even after burning is completed and we are closing VS altogether, I do a final save of that project manually. As Ron says, it's klunky and counter-intuitive, but at least it works!

Thank you Ron & Ken,
I wish I'd posted my question 24 hours ago it would have saved me a lot of time :D
Now if only my new processor (E8400) etc. was here that'd save me a "heap" of time.
George
