I cannot run VideoStudio on Windows Vista due to UAC prompt.

Everytime I run VideoStudio 11 (trial edition) I am asked for the administrator password in the user account control dialog box. I do not have access to the administrator password. How do I run VideoStudio as a non-admin user?

Welcome to the forums,

Unfortunately you will need to install it under Admin account. You will need to get permission from your Administrator. Part of Vista security..;)

I already have VideoStudio installed (by the system administrator). I need to be able to run the program as a non-admin. Are you saying that the program can not run under a non-admin user?

I'm sorry, I misread your first post, thinking you could not install it.

However you will need to contact the Administrator on your system, to get them to grant you the permissions in Vista to run the program. There should be some setting that the Admin needs to set so that the program can run for Standard users.

There are no settings in VS to alter this.

Can you tell me which settings are required, or point me to documentation that describes the changes?

Thanks.
