Strange files in capture folder

In my capture folder I have the files shown below...

aPersist.uke

_vfc.chk

_difc.chk

Can someone tell me what these mean and is it safe to delete them?

I'm not sure how they are used, but they are safe to delete (provided you've exited UVS).
