Need an idea to cover a video blemish
I'm looking for a suggestion. I've noticed a small spec in my video recently. There's nothing on the lens but somehow there's either dust inside the camcorder or a defect on the sensor. I can't wait for it to be serviced right now (show tonight and next week too) so I'm wondering if anybody has an idea about how to use one of the filter's to hide it somehow. I was thinking would I blur just that small little area where the spec is or use some other effect. It's only really visible in darker areas of a consistent shade like on the curtain on a stage and various lighting sometimes makes it quite visible. I'm not worried about it when it's in the part of main subject because then it's not usually visible, so in those cases I wouldn't apply the fix. If you have any ideas that would be great. If I figure something out I'll post it back for others.
Thanks

I had a similar program with a digital camera where a small spot could be seen but only against a blue sky or the sea. It was so irritating I found I was looking at the blob and not the picture.
A lot will depend upon where the blob is located on your video, if its near an edge you can crop it out, if its in the middle of the screen you have a bigger problem.
I've had videos where a bit of dirt got onto a lens and caused the same sort of problem. Trying it blur it out would more often than not make it worse.
Best thing with something that you cannot crop is to hide it in some way such as place a title over it or use a picture in picture effect.
Perhaps you can grab a screen shot and post it on the forum so that we may assess the problem better.
