Creating DVD Menus with Paint Shop Pro Photo X2?

Post by woodchuck »

I've read posts suggesting the use of Photo Impact to create DVD menus for use with VS10 and 11. I also viewed sjj1805's tutorial on this topic.

I have been using Paint Shop Pro (starting with v7) for a few years and love it. Does anyone know of a DVD menu maker plug-in for Paint Shop Pro PhotoX2? I would like to create some of my own menus but don't want to purchase another photo editing program just for that purpose.

No Sorry to say that would not be possible. The DVD menus used in VS, use the proprietary PI file format, UFO.

You might check inside of PSP, and see if it will save to the UFO format.

Thanks for your reply. I assumed it would not be possible. I checked PSP for file formats and UFO is not one of the many formats. Besides, much of the functionality that would be necessary for creating a menu is not a part of PSP. That is why I was hoping there would be a plug-in for it.
