Hello. First time here.
I am trying before buying the MovieFactory 6 Plus.
I need to capture through Firewire direct to disc.
Project settings are in PAL (I live in Norway),
but all the default DVD MPEG settings I can choose are NTSC settings.
Thus, when selecting one of those, and when I try to start capturing, I get a message saying project settings dont match, and that a conversion is nessesary.
Nothing I seem to do makes those MPEG settings appear in PAL.
Any ideas?
best regards

Welcome to the forums,
When you first installed the program, you were presented with a sceen asking where you live (country), and beneath that if you want to use NTSC or PAL. It would seem that you bypassed or ignored that step, so the program is defaulting to NTSC.
However with DVDMF open, look on the bottom left, for some icons. If you hover your mouse over it, you should see the tool-tip Settings and Options. Clicking on it brings up a menu with Preferences, as one of the options. Choose the Preferences option.
In the Preferences Dialog window, on the first tab (General), look square in the middle of that tab, you should see TV System. To its right probably is the NTSC, with a down arrow to the right. Press the down arrow, and select the PAL which should now be visible.

Solved.
Update: Solved.
So, I connected another firewire device, and now the mpeg capture defaults finally switched over to PAL.
It seems like the Ulead misinterpreted my Sony HCR-HC7 as a NTSC device (even if the video coming in was indeed PAL).
After the capture settings were ok, and I reconnected the HC7, the settings still stayed PAL.
Strange, but now it works.
If anyone else have the same problem, it might be worth trying to connect another type of firewire unit.
