Hi all. I apologize if this topic has been covered before. I am evaluating VideoStudio 11 for purchase, but when I use the DV to DVD Wizard to burn DVDs (in DVD format) I fail to get any audio - the audio folder on the DVD is empty. I have found some tips in tech support regarding the "line in" setting in "Volume Control" but I still have had no luck. I am using Windows XP version 2002 service pack 2.
The application picks up the audio, I can hear in coming from the computer's speakers, but it never makes it to DVD.
My video camera is a Panasonic GS320.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
The Audio_TS folder in a standard video DVD is *always* empty. That's the way it is meant to be.
Now your DV file should start off with rock standard PCM audio, though it would be useful if you could right click on one of the files within VS, either in the timeline or library pane, and copy all its properties here please.
Next we need to know the settings used for the final burn to DVD. If it used Dolby audio settings, for example, that would explain why you get no audio. The trial version, for licensing reasons, does not include the Dolby codec. (Dolby requires a fee for every use of its codec, and no software manufacturer, like Corel/Ulead, is going to pay Dolby when they are making a copy free for trial or as an SE version for distribution free with a piece of hardware.)
I have never used either of the wizards in VS -- I only ever use the main Editor program as it allows much more control. However, if you can change the final burn settings to ensure that the DVD uses either LPCM or mpeg layer 2 audio, you should be able to hear the audio. Otherwise, use the Editor and make sure the settings avoid Dolby.

Thanks for the response. I have since been able to capture the video and audio successfully on disc (albeit after the application seems to have frozen a few times during capture).
Now when I try to burn a video from hard disk to dvd I get an "Unspecified Error". Could I have a corrupt copy of the software? I seem to be having a bunch of trouble doing fairly simple things.
