Chapter menu question

Post by cleo_26 »

By reading other posts, I just found out that the 'play' button in the chapter menu is actually a play all button. So if i have 2 titles (both with chapters) and I enter the chapter menu of title 2, the play button will play title 1 first. In another post, Vidoman replied with:

I understand this statement to mean that I can play title 1 or 2 without going into the chapter menu. Is this correct? If i click on title 1 or 2, it will enter the chapter menu and the only way i can get it to play from the start is to click on the first chapter. Is there a way that I don't have to enter the chapter menu if I just want to play title 2 from the start (but also have the option of going through the chapters)?

Also is there any way that I can get a sound to play when you click the play button?

Thank-you

On the 2nd Step, where you build/select your Menu, press the Edit tab. Then down to the bottom press the Advance Settings, de-select Create Chapter Menus. The chapters will still be there, so pressing the Next Chapter button on the DVD remote control will still jump to the chapters, but there will not be a chapter menu.

No, there's no way to assign a sound to a button press.

Thanks for that. I might do it that way without the chapter menu for my current video.

Do you know if there are any programs that lets you have the option of 'play movie' or 'select chapter'?

Thanks
