Font Color

Post by boxy »

Hopefully someone will understand what I'm asking....

When selecting a color for a title I click on Ulead or Windows color picker and make a chioce. But sometimes the color doesn't change because of a filter. Is there a trick to getting a "blocked" color into a project? How do I import a new color from Ulead or Windows picker? Thanks.

I don't quite understand your question...

What filter could you have applied to a text/title? To apply or change the color for the text/title, make sure you have the title selected, then pick your color. You can also select any single text character and change the color for just those text characters you have selected.

You can only apply filters to video, images, and the color mattes, which are the "blocks" of colors found in the Color Library. To use the color blocks, just drag the color to the time-line.

I think you have the Color Filter activated. This is activated by default. Go to File>Preferences and, I believe, it's on the second or third tab. This color filter is used for certain colors that bleed (reds, yellows). Try turning it off and see if it fixes your problem.

Yes, unchecking the color filter in the preferences solved the problem. Thanks so much!

Just for anyone else's reference, this photo illustrates what I meant. It wouldn't allow me to use the 'new' selected color (the bright red).

Thanks again.

Excuse my ignorance. I've just upgraded from VS9 to VS11+ and cannot for the life of me figure how to change the colour of text in a title. I cannot see a color picker in the Title > Edit window as I was used to with VS9 and the 'Help' tells me that there should be a selection tool.

I've uploaded an example screen shot to RapidShare:

Would appreciate advice. Thanks.
