Hello.
Just a quick pre-sales question.
Does Photo Impact X3 have drop shadow and borders features?
Thank you.

Just downloaded PI 3 and can't seem to get the drop shadow to work.Reactor wrote:The best thing to do pre-sales is use the trial for a while, but yes, it does have drop shadows and borders. As I mentioned though, to make sure these work as expected, take the trial version for a spin.
I'm running Vista Ultimate Home Ed.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Ron,
First I want to caution you about posting your email address in forums. They are continuously scanned by spam-bots looking for email addresses. If you completed your email address in your Profile, there is a button at the bottom of each post, that would allow people to contact you in that manner.
To add drop-shadows, or transparency to photos you must first make it an object. If you open the Layer Manager, you will probably see your photo as the Base Image. You need to make your image an object...
Right-click on your image, select All. Right-click again and select Convert to Object. You can now add drop-shadows, change the transparencies, ect., to your image. If your image is occupying the entire frame, you will need to resize it smaller to see the drop-shadow..

I'm not sure I've got it all figured out yet but I'm working on it. The last version of PI seemed much easier to use.
Another question, if you don't mind.
Is it possible to make text such as this in PI?
If so, any advice or tutorials available?
Thanks again for all your help!

Yes, you can fill the text with an image of a flag. You can find a tutorial for creating filled text at http://wwell.net/tutorials/pi12/phototext/index.html
