It is Mardi Gras here in New Olreans, a tradition that dates back a couple hundred years.
As it _just started_, it actually lasts two weeks before the actuall "big finally" Mardi Gras Day.
I am shooting pics and video for the next two weeks of events here.
I want to know, what is your perception of this event?
I want to know what do you actually know about this event?
What are the rumors about this event that you have heard?
The reason for the questions, is, there is a "global" perception of what goes on here, and I want to document WHAT really goes on here.
The shoot will last the next two weeks, the post production may take 3 or 4 months.
Thnaks..

I don't really have any first hand experience/knowledge with the event.
So, without doing any real research on what really happens, my thoughts are a "party" atmosphere, with folks handing out necklace beads for a quick "flash" from women. A little "worse" than the spring break college crowd...
But I could be all wrong, and I would be very interested in learning more about the event from your documentary...
Regards,
George
