Editing With VS11+

I am new to editing and wish to end my project with a slow ' fade'.I have a VS11+ How do I achieve this ? Flossi

From the transitions library drag the Crossfade transition to the appropriate place on your timeline. To adjust the length of the transition either drag the yellow handles of the transition, or enter a numerical value in the Duration box.
