audio problem with video studio

Post by GetFunky »

So when ever i go to the audio section of video studio 10 plus i want to go to the tab entitled "Auto Music". Now when I go and click on this tab a message pops up saying: "Required Quicktime components are not available Please re-install Quicktime and choose "Recommended Install". A minimal install will not support SmartSound". I tried to re intall quicktime 7.0. And it didnt work. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and how I can fix it?

You need to install the QuickTime which came as part of the Video Studio installation -- in the Extra Content, second file if you have the downloaded version, or on CD2 if you have the boxed version.

When you bought the downloaded version, you should have been provided by Corel with 3 links: the first to the main program files; the second to an extra contents files (which apart from QT, also contains things like the bulk of templates); and a third 'bonus features' file, which contains amongst other things, WinDVD software DVD player. But nothing in this third file is essential to VS's operations. The first two, however, are. So if you did not get the second (and third) like you need to go back to Corel and ask for them (with proof, of course, of your original purchase or upgrade...)

Well except GetFunky claims to be using VS10, which was during the Ulead Regime. Corel may be able to provide you with the downloads if you have your purchase emails, or some sort of proof of purchase.

After purchasing did you register it with Ulead? If so you can retrieve the serial number from the Corel site.
