Welcome to the forums,
I don't know the answer, but here's a link to Vikings website, where you can find a ton of info on GIF 5. Oh Viking knows GIF 5 inside and out..

GA 5 will open these types of image formats:
GIF, BMP, EPS, IFF, IMG, JPG, MAC, MSP, PCD, PCT, PCX, PNG, PSD, PSP, TGA, UFO or UGA
If those gradient files aren't one of those... then an alternate plan may do.
If you can add the gradient to whatever you're working on in PSP or Photoshop, save that in one of the formats above and open it with GA 5.
You can also set GA 5 up to use PSP, Photoshop or PhotoImpact as an "external image editor." See this tutorial on how to set that up.

Thanks all
Robert:
I jist looked at the thtorial. I guess I will have to open the box that has been on my shelf for well over a year now... and install PSP 10. ... then figure out how to use it.
Thanks very much for the input. If I have a problem figuring out how to integrate the two... as Govener Arnold might say ... I'll be back
