Google Earth

Post by starsky »

Is it possible to incorporate a map from Google Earth into Video Studio. I only have an old version 9 of VS.

Thank you

One thing for sure you could is to SnagIt (capture the screen) and save it to a file and bring it (copy Media to Library or timeline) into your movie.

I used an image from Google Earth in a project I made a couple of years ago. I believe that's exactly what I did - captured the screen image then imported that as an image file.

If you are using VISTA and you have FRAPS you can capture it as a video. Being VISTA's desktop is now 3D, FRAPS has added the option to capture it. It used to be exclusive to 3D games prior to VISTA.

Alternatively, you could record it with the windows media encoder.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

Haven't had time to try but Camtasia Studio ought to do it.
There is a 30 day free trial.

There is a toggle in the settings on whether to include them or not. I'm not on the computer running fraps right now but I know it is there.
