Not responding

Running the retail version of MF6+ with patch#2 and HD power pack. Everything was working fine for creating a few hd dvd discs on dvd-r, but just recently, whenever I try editing video beyond about the 10 minute mark I kept getting the message that the program is not responding. I ended the program, shut down the computer, and restarted the computer. Now when I double click the launcher, the program will not even open. Any suggestions?

Running Windows XP SP2
Core 2 @ 2.4ghz
2gigs RAM

Graphics card is ATI 256MB Radeon X1300 pro
