Need help. Editing m2ts file

Hi,

I am new at using VideoStudio 11 Plus.
After downloading the update, I was able to import the m2ts files that I created from my Sony camcorder HDR-SR5.
Unfortunately, once I edit clips into the storyboard, they become all chopped making the quality of the project terrible.
Is there an issue with the HD definition that Corel cannot handle?
I am lost and very disappointed. Please help!
