But try creating just a small video file - say one minute long - and see if you get the same problem.

If you don't, then your problem might be caused by hard drive space issues.

When I complete my editing with pictures and or videos in VS11+. I then go to create a video file by: share>create video file>DVD/vcd/svcd/mpeg>and go to anyone of the selections. I usually go to NTSC mpeg1. It process 99% and at the very end before completion. I get Windows Must Close ERROR I have uninstalled, installed HOTFIX and the upsate pack and still nothing works.

I never had this problem before and I have 3 hard drives. 75 Gig, 250 GB and 250 GB. No Space issues here!!

Is the system displayed in your profile your new, upgraded system? What else have you installed on your system? This appears to be caused by something that is interfering with VS.

I'm aware that you've installed all the updates for VS, even the HotFix. However unless you had the specific problem (AVControl SDK) mentioned on the webpage for installing the hotfix, you should not install it. Next have you updated your DirectX to the Nov '07 version? It updates XP (9.0c) and Vista. The version number will not change, however it does appear to be curing several issues with VS.

Is this a typo? It would normally be NTSC mpeg-2, most easily achieved by selecting NTSC DVD as the output format.

Yes, it is a typo. I meant mpeg-1 or mpeg-2
