Hello. I have just payed for the new upgraded, downloaded version of videostudio 9. But it`s necessary to have the older version VS 8 before and it must be installed. But this give me problem to capture from DV video into the UVprogram. Of course, the older version will interact. I have just tried to deleted VS 8 and all maps from that program, and reinstall it, but the result was an systemchrash. No problems for me, I have "Norton ghost" and to restore C: was very easy. What should I do? The new version will not give acceptable qality in the captureprocess. Videodistorsion is the result.

To download and use an 'Upgrade' you must have the previous version installed on your PC - you should download and install the upgrade BEFORE removing V8 - in fact it's not even necessary to remove V8 at all they can both exist on your PC at the same time and will not 'interact'
If you have done a full re-install of V8 you should now be able to install V9 - perhaps the bad quality is that you have not installed V9 properly or that you have not set all the properties and capture options correctly in V9.
bit late for you now - but if you had purchased discs it would be so much easier to put right. - worth remembering for next time.

Hello again, here is the technical supports tips and the result for me, was a systemchrash.
"Since VideoStudio 9 require more resources than VS8, this is likely to happen.
System enhacement may solve the issue.
Could you please try the following steps. I hope this helps.
[Steps]
1) Clean up temp files from\Start menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk
Cleanup.
2) Uninstall VideoStudio 8 from control panel Add/Remove programs
3) Delete following folders
=>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead
VideoStudio
=>C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SmartSound Software Inc
=>C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\Ulead VideoStudio
=>C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\
4) Reinstall VideoStudio 8 again
5) Install the latest VS8 patch that you can download"
