Problems Installing

Hi

I'm new to VideoStudio and to this forum. I am having problems correctly installing VideoStudio 11 plus. I get the following error:

Error 1904.....ulMDMgr.dll failed to register

I have tried registering manually but no luck.

Can anyone help

Hi oxdigger, and welcome to the forum, sorry to hear you're having trouble!

According to Microsoft, the cause may be that your computer has mismatched Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) files or a damaged MDAC installation.

There is a link to a suggested download which may resolve the problem, which is probably worth trying.

Make sure that you are installing from an Administrator account too, and if you use Windows System Restore, make a fresh restore point prior to loading the program - it should make it easier to uninstall it in the event of further problems.

Thanks for your reply 2dogs. Unfortunately, XP with SP2 installed doesn't allow MDAC to be re-installed. However, I have now found a possible method to repair the MDAC installation. I'll let you know how I get on once I get a chance to try it
