Hi,
I've edited some AVCHD video using VS11 and burned it to DVD. The picture is fine but I have a problem with the sound.
The sound plays perfectly on a Mac but the sound doesn't work on a PC using InterVideo WinDVD8 or Windows Media Player 11 or on a standard DVD player.
Any idea what's going wrong?
Thanks.
DVD sound plays on a Mac but not on a PC

Is this a data dvd then?
MP3 isn't a recognised dvd audio format.
Or did you mean that you used mp3 in the project, in which case I meant what audio format did you stipulate when you made the dvd.
In your first mail you said you'd used avchd files, so you'd better list all the other files you've used as well, just in case. As the dvd works in a Mac, then I suspect it's more to do with what settings you chose in teh authoring process than the editing one.
What app do you use on the Mac to watch the dvd?

Yes, I meant that I used an mp3 sound track in the project.
I didn't know I could select an audio format when I make a DVD. How can I tell what format I used?
I used a series of AVCHD clips with the sound set to zero and added an mp3 music track. That's all.
The Mac DVD app on which the DVD sound actually plays is called DVD Player Version 4. It's the standard Apple app that came with the computer.
