Impossible to install PhotoImpact 12

Post by chobi59 »

Good evening

Previously ,I used Photoimpact 11 and I would like try and may be purchase Photoimpact 12.

So ,I dowloaded the trial version of the new soft and uninstalled the old one (Photoimpact 11) .
To unistall ,I used the normal way on my XP pro computer :
(Please I apologise ,I am a french speaking user and so I use the common appellations in french language.)

Panneau de configuration - Ajout/suppress programmes Ulead11 and then suppress .

Ok ,Photoimpact11 disappears of my computer but:
I surprised and I am afraid because Photoimpact12 refuses to be installed .

Everytime ,it says to me :

"Another version of the same soft is in use on your computer ,please uninstall it before install the new version " ....... again and again .

I deleted the files in " Programm files " and try to cleaned any traces in the register of the computer without any success

May be it could be necessary to use a special cleaning tool such as for the Nero softs for instance ?

Could you please help me to solve this problem because :

Now I cannot install Photoimpact12 and my good old Photoimpact11 as well .

It's very strange

Have you tried PhotoImpact X3 - this new version has just been released and in fact will install to a completely different hard drive directory than previous versions.

C:\Program Files\Corel\PhotoImpact X3
instead of
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 12

I still have the previous versions installed side by side and they all work perfectly.

PhotoImpactX3 ? ,not yet but why not .

Now I am pleased to tell you : my trouble is finished . :P

I used a good old regcleaner and it found some parts of the previous Photoimpact 11 soft in my computer :UleadAuto Detector  and uninstall it .

Now I have no problem at all to install Photoimpact 12 .

God bless "regcleaner" the ultimate destroyer . It' s a dangerous killer but very efficient ! !

Have a nice day !
