Hi
What can I do that I can open files in AVI-DV format in Ulead Media Studio Pro 5.0 ?
Where can I find a plugin or the codecs ?
Or is it not possible to edit files in AVI-DV format with Ulead Media Studio Pro 5.0 ?
Thanks
Tom
DV Editing with Media Studio 5
I suggest you upgrade to v. 7.3 or, better, 8.1. MSP5 came out before DV, so it is unlikely to be usable.

I don't know MSP 5 at all. I started with MSP 6.5. That version had no problem reading and working with DV-Avi files from my digital camcorder. I doubt that MSP changed so drastically at the time that version 5 was incapable of editing DV-Avi. After all, it is the format of choice for editing digital home movies. At the time I had a copy of VS 5 which came bundled with my camcorder. That didn't have any problem with DV-Avi either.
You need to give us more detail about the source file properties, how it was captured and what your system specs are, if you want any meaningful advice.
As it stands, I suspect there is something strange about your Avi file. Are you sure it is DV-Avi or is it another flavor of Avi like mpeg4, DivX etc.?
I am not surprised if your old version of MSP cannot handle these highly compressed video files which were only becoming available after the release of your version.
