Hi,
I've just purchased Studio 11 and have been having fun putting it through its paces and checking out its many features. However, I have a problem:
When I attempt to "Make DVD disc", the program gets as far as creating the menus, but then I get "UNSPECIFIED ERROR" [5:0:0]. I have tried it without a menu in case that was causing the problem, but still no joy. Any idea what the problem might be?
I can make all other types of file - including SVCD/VCD no problems, the glitch seems to lie just with the DVD option.
Funnily enough, I could make a DVD disc fine when I had the trial version installed.
Any suggestions on how to correct it. Maybe try a reinstallation? I have downloaded the patches and the 11.5 Power Pack. (By the way, I'm running Vista).
Thanks,
Chris

Have you tried updating your DirectX? Quite a few people are experiencing problems in the menu/burning stage and it seems the problem could be caused by a recent Windows update (including Vista). Go to the Microsoft DirectX website and download and install the November 2007 patch (or if there is a more recent one, use that).
Note that you will still have version number 10 of DirectX, but the patch is definitely meant for both DirectX 9.0c (XP SP2) and Vista. I know because if have several computers, some of which have Vista and the rest XP. So I know the patch works on all of them.

Thanks for that, but on trying to install it says I already have the most up to date version.
I've discovered another glitch. I don't seem to have any "SmartSounds", nor the "Auto Music" option in the menu (and when I click on the Auto Music tab on the main screen the program crashes). Do I have to download and install the SmartSounds separately, and if so from where?

It depends how you got VS11. If it is the download version, then the SmartSound Quicktracks is installed from the second (Extra Content) pack youo should have received a link to. If you have the boxed version, then I think it is on CD2. You also need to install the version of QuickTime which came with VS11 (again in the Extra Content/CD2) as they are linked.
