Hi,
This question has not really been answered from what I have searched on the forums since yesterday, but I am having problems with 11 seeing my camcorder. I have a Sony Handicam DCR-PC9 which has been the greatest camcorder I've invested in, however 11 plus does not see the camcorder (connected via firewire) as an option, therefore I have no options. I did load the lastest patches from the website but it proved to be no help. I had to go back to 10 plus which sees the camcorder so obviously the MS driver that is used in 10 is different in 11 b/c its using the MS version in 10 and it is the option in 11 but nothing happens as far as seeing the camera.
Any help would be appreciated or if someone could point me in the direction of some templates for 10, b/c there is like only about 3 options to choose from. I lost the second disc if thats where they are suppose to be, but I have both for 11.
Thanks,

Can we assume you have tried either connecting the camera, switching it on and only then starting up VS? Or conversely, starting VS and then connecting the camera and switching it on? For some people, one or the other usually works.
As for the templates, they were indeed on the second disc you have lost...

yes, i have done the mentioned suggestions before I posted. I also did not get an email for your response which I had set to email me when someone responds to anything I post. I understand there has been some issues with this forum as of late, but if anyone has run into this, maybe with another camcorder, please let me know how you corrected it.
