VideoStudio 11 - Video Filters have disappeared.

Post by aliendaddy »

I've been successfully using my VideoStudio 11 for several months, and successfully done some old movie transfers, DVDs and lots of things.

Now, my video filters have disappeared. The way I used to access them is to:

1. Select the clip in the timeline view.

2. Click the Attribute tab.

3. Choose the filter I want from the thumbnails and drag it onto my clip.

Suddenly, the thumbnails for the filters are gone. I select my clip, click the attribute tab, but the filter thumbnails never appear. The video clips from the video tab are still there.

If I open a prior project, the video filters I applied to them are still applied. If I select a clip in this previous project, then select a clip that has a filter applied, then click the attribute tab, the filter thumbnails still do not appear, but the previously selected filters are displayed in the list, and I can even select an applied filter and modify its attributes. I just can't apply filters to anything new!

I cannot figure out what I have done.

Do any of you folks have any idea what I've done to get this to happen?

Thanks very much, in advance,

Mike Thompson

Hi Mike,

You've done nothing. For some unknown reason the latter versions of VS (10 and now 11) have this happen occasionally. It may have to do with an "ini" file getting corrupt.
