Is Divx codec safe to install with UVS9?

Post by juliosoto »

Hi, probably a dumb question.

I am hesitant to install the Divx codec.. way back when I did it for version 7 I seemed to have problems with using usv7 and mydvd to record with motion menus.

Now that VS9 has the motion menu ability, I though I had no reason to install the DIVX codec, but I was wrong.. I would like to have it..

Just worried that it may mess with the motion menu and burning feautures in Video Studio.

Am I just paranoid or does this combo work out well?

Any info would be appreciated
Thank You

Hi,

I don't think you'll have any problems.

I have the full (purchased) DivX codec installed -- for over a year -- and also use VS 8, and have never noticed any problems, clashes etc.
