Can VS10 make a video dvd similar to power point

Post by jwalk2c »

I am working with footage made from videos of the youth at our church putting on valentines talent shows for the Senior Citizens.
This year they are having a awards show for the past 7 years of performances.
So I need a way to cue up small video segments on demand.
But I can't think of way to do this in VS10plus.
I know how to trim out the clips I need and put on dvd.
But the producer of show wants to be able to show the clips on demand
as she is anouncing each catagory.
Think Grammys ; or movies awards shows; when for example you may have 3 best female vocalist nominated for the year, and you need to show short segments of the 3 nominated video clips, with the announcer being able to describe each and call them up as nessacary.
I don't think a standard dvd menu will be good for this.
I need something similar to a power point presentation, only with video files.
I will be using a projector and dvd player, or I could use PC for source if nessasary

Has anyone ever worked with a project like this. :?:
Thank You

Instead of making your video look like a Powerpoint presentation, you can put video made in VS into Powerpoint. Do a search for "powerpoint" and you will find several posts regarding this.

If you mean you have an audience and a screen at the front, like being in a classroom or theater, the correct way is to use a presentation tablet.
You also need a computer projector.

Obviously Microsoft powerpoint is considered the best software to do the presentation. There is however nothing to prevent you from simply creating slides and short videos and keeping them in a Windows directory and simply activating them as required - though obviously that would look messy to your audience.

To prepare something similar using a DVD video disc you need to create each slide or short video as separate items and then add them to a DVD Menu so that each item can be selected from a DVD Menu as required.
