MF 6 Plus Trial - "Add Video Files" crashes app

Hi,

I would really like to buy this program, but I can't even get the trial to work.

I'm running Windows XP SP2. I had ffdshow, tversity, an old DivX bundle and some other stuff installed earlier today, but I've since taken that all off.

When I install and run the trial package, and click "Add Video Files"...the mouse arrow sits there, then has an hourglass, then goes back to a plain mouse arrow...eventually the app just closes with no message at all.

If I ran the app from the launcher, when this problem happens, MF6 closes and the launcher re-appears.

I read other posts about codec conflicts, etc. I don't think I have anything left on my system that could be conflicting with it. I also uninstalled everything, deleted all the ULead directories, and reinstalled. Same results.

This is very frustrating...

I just tried another full uninstall (including cleaning up the registry per instructions on this forum) and re-install. Same problem.

I have no burner in the PC I'm trying this on. I *really* hope that's not the issue.

I realized DrWatson was running as the program crashed.

Took a look in the log, then did some searches on this forum. Others have had the same issue.

Had to rename divx_ul.dll to something else to get the crash to stop. Not sure what I took away by renaming that file, but things seem to work now.

12 hours later...UGH...I'm exhausted...
