I have downloaded trial copy of dvd movie factory 6 - i had a company convert old analogue hi 8 films onto a dvd. i am now trying to import them into a video editing package, hence trialling dvd movie factory. I have copied dvd file to an image and stored on my hard drive - using img burn and dvd movie factory seems to have saved them in ISO or IXB formats. However, when i try and import from the hard drive dvd movie factory cant see either of them to import.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any help.
Regards,
ISO or IXB files

No those formats are complete copies of a DVD disc, they're a disc image and used for burning identical copies of your DVDs. What you need to do is place your DVD in your PC tray, then in DMF6, select New Project, then to insert a video file (which are called Titles) choose, Add Media, the DVD disc icon. With that you can import the titles or individual chapters off of a DVD, or if you have copied the folders contained on the DVD to your hard drive, import them from there. Those would be called DVD Folders.
Look for the folder called Video_TS. Most all of the Video_TS folders are empty nowadays. Once you have pointed DMF6 to that folder click OK. Next the Import DVD dialog window opens. In the left pane you should see Disc Label, with Label having perhaps several Titles, and Chapters. Here you place a check in the box to the left of the Title and/or Chapters you want to import.
In the Preview window (to the right) you can preview a selection before importing.
I'm also providing you a link to Ulead's Document download page, so that you can download the PDF Manual for DMF6. They do not include a help file with the trial versions. This will help you better understand the program..
