Error when creating AVCHD on DVD+R DL

Post by koikeepr »

Hello:

When I try to create a AVCHD DVD+R DL, I get the following message during multiplexing"Error in reading File" and the process stops. It has taken 10 hours to get to this point. It works fine using a standard DVD-R. However, it will not successfully complete when using a DVD+R DL. I am using all of the default settings in MF6+.

Processor - Intel Pentium 4 - 3 GHz
Burner - Lite-ON LH-20A1H LL0A
Media - HP DVD+R DL

Thanks

Have you ever burnt Dual layered DVD's with that burner using another application or maybe MF just making standard dvd's?
Not really sure what to suggest except make sure you have enough disk space available. Usually though DL burning problems are related to the burning matching the correct DL media it likes.

I have burnt DL dvd's in MF6+ in XP & Vista so it does work.
I have used Sony DL DVD's 2.4x rated.
Memorex DL dvd's for me can be hit & miss.

I have never burnt Dual Layer before. I have sucessfully burnt standard DVDs and AVCHDs on Memorex DVD-R without problems. The AVHCDs play really good in the Blu-Ray player.

I have used Sony products before and had reading problems. The HP just happened to be only only brand the store had at the time I was there. I'll visit the Lite-ON web site and see what they recommend....

Thanks
