How long for displyaing an image?

Hi there.

What is the norm for the time an image displays as part of a video slide show?

I have made a project which includes some video but also some still images. How long can I display each image? I don't want it to be to short but also not to long.

Whatever works for you.

If you have a transition at either side of still pic then need min 5 sec per pic.

If I am doing a normal slide show I usually set my image duration preference for 8 seconds. I then insert 1 second transitions between clips, so the image is then displayed for about 6 seconds.

It depends upon the picture.
A simple snapshot probably a few seconds, A group photo where you pan and zoom across the people in the picture could last as long as 20 seconds.

If it looks right it is right.
