DVD Movie Factory 3.0 not responding

I have Windows XP operating system. I was given the Pioneer DVD/CD writer as a present. The bundled software that came with it was Ulead Movie Factory 3. When I select Direct to Disk or Edit Disk, nothing happens, I go to my Task Manager, and it says that DVD Movie Factory is not responding. Can anyone help me with this?

Go to the Ulead site and apply all the patches (make sure you get the ones for SE if that is the version you have - it's what came with my burner)

It makes all the difference.
