Hello all, this is my first post on the forums and I'm hoping it will be a fruitful one.
I just purchased a "Video Grabber" from Eforcity that was packaged with Video Studeo 9 SE. This grabber has a USB connection and cable for line-in, and I have it attached to my DVD/VCR combo to capture video from old VHS tapes. So when I used the movie wizard, none of the captured video (even the clips) has the corresponding audio!
I have checked out my sound recording properties to the "line-in" option and have that at high volume, and I've set the audio properties to be the same as the recording properties with the SB Live Wave Device and line-in settings. I'm hoping one of you can give me some insight here as I believe everything is hooked up and installed correctly.
Describe your problem:
Properties of your source files: VHS tape
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?: RCA DVd/VCR combo set to VCR and connections are to the DVD/VCR (not DVD exclusive). Red/White/Yellow composite connections are in play with Video Grabber that is plugged into USB port and line-in.
Project Settings (important): These have been default other than making sure things were set to line-in as well as showing source volume control (which was up).
Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD): DVD
PAL or NTSC: NTSC
Error Codes (if any): None
Product Version: e.g. VS10 or VS11+: VS9 SE
I hope someone can offer some good advice!
No sound with video capture (VS9)

Is this the VideoGrabber:
Example from Here
Are you running Vista or XP? According to the specs, the audio is sent through the USB, when running XP, and through a separate cable with Win2K. I could not find any mention of Vista.
You've made sure that in the audio control panel you have Line-in enabled, for Recording? In WinXP right-click on the speaker, found in the lower right of the task bar. Select Open Volume Control. Then select Options>Properties>Recording. Make sure there is a check in the box beside the Line-In, click OK.
You might try running a separate cable from your VCR's Line-Out to the Line-In of the sound card on your PC.
