PI 12 DVD Menu Maker

Post by KPPang »

Am trying to create 16x9 menu from PI 12 export to VS 11+ -

On check detail ID assign ... I keep getting
object background size not correct!

Have resize image to 1024x576 for 16x9 menu but still no go!

Actions taken to resize was done in PI 12 while in DVD menu maker mode.

Have tried resizing in Photo edit mode and importing - some error - background size is not correct.

Two things to check.

First to make sure the background image itself rather than the entire DVD Menu is the correct size use the layer manager and select the bottom but one item "IMG_BG......." then on the menu bar select Adjust, resize.
Make sure that you then select "Apply to selected object" and then check and if necessary adjust the size.

Second thing to check is that the background image is centered on the DVD Menu. Again use the layer manager and select the item "IMG_BG..." and then right click, Align, Center both.

Ta and yes have done exactly this action to resize image for background but didn't align center both... will try again...

After sending this query, went back to try again this time using select box cut and paste - bucket fill - colour - to use as background instead of image.. all ID assign appear good - no error msg - but when came to export... new msg that an obj is selected to deselect.... went back into working page deselect all, tried again to export.... same msg.... am baffled!

Another query, where can I import 'buttons' into PI 12 - tried C:/programs/UleadSystems/Ulead VS 11/ etc etc - can locate any items that are buttons to load.

Cheers

This may be a little late but one thing I found was that I had the image (editing in Photoimpact, not the DVD Menu Maker) one or two pixels off of the edges and it would have the check error. I had to right click on the background image then clip on properties. When that menu comes up click on Position and Size. Then make sure that the image is at 0 and 0 for right and left and of course below that make sure the entire size of the image is proper size as explained in the above responses.
