DVD not finalizing

Hi,

i'm using ulead moviefactory 3.5 wich came with my brand new asus dvd writer. I can burn a dvd (with nice menu's etc etc) but the disk doesn't get finalized (i can see this on the disk itself).

The only option i can find is 'do not close disk' but this is not selected. I tried to play the dvd on another pc and a stand-alone-player but that doesn't work. It does work in the asus dvd writer with the ulead player.

I read something somewhere that you had to write more then 1 gig to de disk to be finalized??? That sounds a bit odd to me?

I'm creating video disks in the 'dvd' format (so not dvd-vr).

Does any one know why this isn't working and/or how i can finalize my dvd's

That's true and I don't know the specifics or if it still applies. I know I read where some authoring apps would write dummy data to get around it.

If that doesn't work try updating the firmware on your drive.
