Bought VideoStudio 11 Plus - NO Templates (Solved)

Post by deonholt »

Hi there.

Win XP Prof SP2, 1GB RAM, 70GB space on HDD, 1.6GHz processor.

Bought:
* VideoStudio 11 PLUS
* Bought Download version. (137MB)
* Totally uninstalled Trial en removed folders under Program Files and my folder and all users.
* Installed 137MB file.
* Installed the Hotfix as per instruction:
Please follow these steps to install the Hot Fix:
1. Manually remove the Ulead VideoStudio 11/11Plus files/folder under Program Files or where you installed.
2. Install this Hot Fix
3. Install Ulead VideoStudio 11/11Plus
* With installation after Hot Fix, the procedure first uninstalled VS and then did the installation where I had to enter the serial number.

I installed DirectX's latest version, updated to the most recent driver for my graphics card.

After everything as mentioned above, I still have no templates when trying to run the Video Wizard.
1. Import 2 video clips & click next
2. Screen where I must choose templates have greyed out buttons for next, back & close. I cannot enter text & there are no templates available.
3. Only way to get out, is by going to task manager and end program.

What else can I do? I have uninstalled, deleted folders & installed numerous times without any success.
I have noticed that some people say they don't use the wizards or templates, but I need to in order to start learning the software and familiarize myself with the software.

I will really appreciate any help & direction to enjoy this excellent tool.

Regards,
Deon

You should have received more than 1 download link in your email from Corel. Did you download all the files? There should be links to the main program, Content files, and a Bonus CD.

The files you need to download should be named:

uvs11_plus_(e).exek (This is the Main program)

uvs11_plus_contentpack_(e).exe (This has the content, ie; templates ect.)

Bonus CD link
uvs11_bonuscd_(e).exe (This has samples, Ulead VCD/DVD Disc Image Recorder, WinDVD)

Yes you can install the Update then the Power Pack. If you did not encounter an error (AVControl SDK) while installing the main program, do not install the HotFix. If you have already installed it, and have not had any problems, then don't worry about doing so.
