Shot with new camera in HD. Captured as .mpg in VS11. The file plays fine in the viewer, has sound, is complete. However, when I run the .mpg in WMV I see green horizontel line at top. When I Share out of VS11 (I have tried as .AVI and WMV using ULead and Nero converters), the film is jittery and fuzzy as it converts and when played in WMV. My capture was from a Canon XLH1 using Firewire and downconverted automatically and successfully as the .mpg files look fine in VS11.
I would like to export a .AVI file the complete edited project that would include transitions and Cool3D inserts as TGA files (watermark, titles, etc.). In my testing so far I have found no way to convert the .mpg files into .AVI files as yet. Help appreciated.

Unless you have the Huffyuv or cineform codecs the only one I know to use is uncompressed which is hugh file sizes.
If or when you find a codec that is frame accurate to edit in I would convert the HDV that first before editing. Use a 1 minute test file, you may have to uncheck "Use non-square pixel rendering" when exporting and turn it back on when rendering back to HDV format.
