I have tried to fade in and out a video clip in edit mode using the little buttons underneath the 'Attribute' bar. No good !
I have also tried the 'Clip' section of the menu at the top left-hand side of the window. Again , no good ............. but the 'Mute' facility works fine.
I have also tried searching the Web Board but apart from finding the answer to fading titles , I cannot find any answer to fading clips.
Can anyone offer an explanation ??

This link provides a perfect explanation of how to do it. Essentially cross fading from black gives you a fade in, cross fading to black gives you fade out. Note this link is from the Tutorials forum which has a lot of helpful information and is a good place to start. I'm new to VS and it took me a little while to discover that but you can get to it from the bottom of the list of forums. Good luck.

Fade in /fade out for video clips
Thanks for that , Doug. I must investigate why I didn't get any meaningful response to my 'Search' questions.
I am back on track , so thanks once again !

It's a PHP BBS thing. Never worked right, probably never will. It's an open source bulletin board, written by many a fine programmer, which is why it doesn't work. To many "captains" at the helm, sort of speaking.
