Does anyone else use this with Video Studio for capture and do you have any problems with Video Studio recognizing it?

OK, since you have provided as little information with this question as you did with the other two, can we assume that you have the Pyro connected via Firewire to your computer. Does the computer 'see' it? Does it give the dong ding sound when you connect it? Does Windows assign it a drive letter?
Next, what version of Windows are you running? Also, what is the version of VS which came with the device? (Adstech used to tweak older versions of Video Studio to work with their mpeg-2 capture devices... However, a DV device is a DV device and should be 'seen' by any program which can capture DV...)
Following on from that, can you use Windows Movie Maker to capture from the device? You might also want to consider downloading a small freeware program called WinDV from windv.mourek.cz and test that. If neither WMM or WinDV can capture from it, then I would begin to suspect a hardware problem, either with the device itself or possibly with your Firewire cable or the Firewire card/connection in your computer.
One final i to be dotted: can you confirm that you are indeed trying to capture in the device's native DV format...

You hardly gave me 5 minutes after your first response to provide more information.OK, since you have provided as little information with this question as you did with the other two, can we assume that you have the Pyro connected via Firewire to your computer. Yes it was connected to the firewire. It works with Adobe Premier Elements so I got used to capturing through that as it was no hastle. I can continue to do that, I just wondered if anyone on the boards had any experience with it - it's been a while since I tried connecting it and basically,as I recall, it recognized it, but it would capture a little and then freeze.
Please don't trouble yourself with this though, I can continue on the other way and next time I use it to capture, I shall attempt again in Ulead and give you a step by step.
Yes, I always capture to Avi/DV
