Moviefactory 6 plus launcher won't launch..

Post by jmwren »

 This has happened since I got the product and the same thing happened with 5 plus, launcher will not launch, justs goes back to my desktop with no message. no errors, etc.. The tech support were suppose to be contacting me back about this months ago, I just now went to use this feature to burn a disk from an image (which I can't figure out how to now without the launcher) and now they are telling me my free tech support has expired, how convenient now that they just forgot about my issue and left it unresolved and now they won't even look into the old notes... Anyway I am pretty unhappy with the way things have gone since the switch to Corel from Ulead.. not like it used to be. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. thanks

This sometimes happens to me. Open up your task manager and see if there is a process called DVDMF.exe running. If so kill it. The Launcher should come back and then you can try it again. Sometimes it seems like it gets stuck the first time you launch it. And once it gets stuck, it won't open up again while you have the stuck one running in the background. I have no idea what is causing the root problem, but this workaround always works for me.

thanks but that is not the case for me, it's not in my task manager so I can't cancel it. Not sure if this matters but I always cancel out ulead quick drop.
