When trying to install VS 11.5 Plus I get the error.
An error occured while downloading the file w:\redistributable\setupprerequisties\prq\directx feb2006.prq . What would you like to do ? retry or cancel.
When I rety it fails again, when I cancel the installation aborts !!
Any ideas??

First thoughts
Before Ken jumps in here, you might check that you have the latest DirectX version installed on your pc.
You say that you are trying to install 11.5 plus. Would that be from a boxed version? Otherwise you might download 11 plus, and later apply the power pack to convert it to 11.5 plus.
If it is in fact a downloaded version, I would suggest you try to download it again, to largely rule out corruption of the downloaded file.
I'm intrigued by the w: reference, though. Is it the drive letter of your CD or DVD drive that you may have installed from, or perhaps of another removable device?
