VIDEOSTUDIO 11+ HDV CAPTURE PROBLEM

I have a sony hdr-hc1e PAL HDV camera. I have upgraded from VS9 to 11+ and cannot capture HDV. It will capture DV but get a message ' 'UNABLE TO SWITCH TO CAPTURE MODE-CHECK IF YOUR VIDEO CAPTURE CARD IS WORKING CORRECTLY'. The cam is connected via firewire and would capture HDV on VS 9 with the HD plugin. The computer sees the cam (with a 'dong' sound on connection) The capture video icon is grayed out.

I have loaded the latest Direct x and Corel Powerpack. VS version number is 11.5.0157.1 plus
Will VS11+ capture HDV from this camera or have I connected it incorrectly ? Can you help ?

You probably should have installed the other file (approx 27mb) as the version should be:

11.5.0157.2

Hopefully this will fix your problem?

To clarify further, the one that Clevo was referring to is the update patch of 6 November 2007. It was meant to correct various problems in VS11/11+. It should probably have been applied before you installed the Power Pack, but try it anyway and see if it makes a difference. The Power Pack actually upgrades VS11+ to 11.5+.

Thanks for your info. I have loaded the patch(27m) but it still does not work. I also re-loaded the power pack, still to no avail. VS11+ now has the suffix .2 on the serial number. VS11+ can see the camera in the source input box but capture icon is still greyed. any ideas ??
