Rolling Text creation

Post by David Feldmar »

How do I create a blank title block in between either my jpgs or video so I can create a text window with rolling text before either a slide or a video stream? I was able to do this with Pinnacle Studio 10.8. The problem with Pinnacle is that all my video's are in "mod" format and they don't support it.

Insert a colour block (black?) between the two clips where you want the title to go. Adjust the length of the colour block to match the length of the title.

To find the colour blocks, they are in the drop-down menu in the window just below Audio and Share along the top of the VS window. By default, that is headed 'Video', but when you click on the down arrow, among other things you will see Colour. Simply drag and drop the selected colour to the timeline.

Will the text that I insert into this block roll vertically? That is what I use to do with Pinnacle, and then adjust the timeline so the last line of the rolling text is read properly.

You will have to apply one of the text animations. I believe it is the Fly animation. They have many pre-set animations, but you can modify them to make it do what you want.
