Trimming Video and Video Studio tutorials.

Post by harley2ride »

I recently purchased Ulead Studio 11, and just started working with it. I have Vegas 5, and have always done my work with it, but I want to learn Ulead Studio, so I can use it for quicky things, and I really like some of the features it has. I have tried multiple times to trim video, and it appears to have trimmed, but when I encode the video, the part I trimmed off, still shows up. Can somebody give me step by step instructions on trimming (cutting video that you don't want). I have done a lot of searching for tutorials, and can't find any good free ones. Any body have any links.
I did try the search function here, but it seems no matter what I put in the search function, it appears to bring up the same thousands of posts each time...

If you had looked down the Index on the main page of this Board, you would have seen a whole category labelled Video Product Tutorials. One in particular you might want to look at is at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=20224

Thanks! I just read that thread, and I don't see where it gives me step by step on how to cut video.

Here is my problem, I bring my video into the timeline. I scroll it to where I want, and use the little [ and ] to make my marks, and then can't get the sissors to show up. I've tried multi trim, and the video seems to have gone away, as I can scroll back and forth through it, and the video I want gone, seems to be gone. But when I go to render, the video that I cut, seems to reappear.

I want to cut out the portion of the video that I don't want, make any edits, encode and burn. The only problem area I'm having here is with the cutting...
