Exporting AVCHD back to SDHC

Post by michaelpalmer »

I have searched the forum for the answer to this question. If anyone has a link, please provide or answer.

here is my question. I have a Panasonic HDC-SD1 camcorder. I have rendered a 5 minute movie in Ulead Video Studio 11+. I want to export this short movie back to the SDHC card within the videocamera, so I can watch on a 42" LCD TV (I don't have a blu ray player or High def player). I am interested in seeing the quality output of the movie vs. the great quality of raw footage of Italy I took.

Anyway, using "SHARE" in Ulead, I then chose HDV Recording --> HDV 1080i-60I (transport stream). All goes well through a rendering process, but then for some reason, it gives me an error when its going to be recorded back to SDHC card saying my device is not connected properly (it is).

The other issue I have I thought might work is putting my rendered video movie to the HD Writer Ver1.0E, but I have misplaced the cd, so I don't know if this would work. My thinking was to export from the HD writer back to SDHC. Panasonic support site doesn't have the HD Writer to download, only an update program which doesn't work unless you have the original HD Writer installed.

If anyone has a work around to record back to SDHC so the videocamera will play the movie, I'd appreicate it. I hope I have given enough info to help receive an answer.
