VS8 Create Disc SVCD/VCD

When creating a VCD or SVCD everything is fine until it either plays to or the final scene is selected, and the picture freezes, accompanied with a scratching sound. Has anyone else experienced this, or can anyone explain why this is occuring?

Is it just a single disc or every disc you make?

This has occured on more than one disc. I have tried removing the last scene from the VCD, but the problem then occurs at the New last scene.

Have you applied the patches? there is a few for VS.

I have applied at least one patch that I can recall. Can you specify which patch or patches are required and their location please. Also I succesfully assembled this content to a VCD using Nero instead, put video quality is less than that I can get with VS8

I beleive there is a patch specifically for CD/dvd burning issues. They supply a dscription for each one. personally I'd apply them all in the order they were realeased.

Applied the Following Patches available from Ulead, but still experiencing the same problem.

1. uvs8_patch1_e
2. gdiplus_patch
3. uvs8_patch_daylight_saving_time_11in1

Does the playback issue happen on the PC, or a standalone DVD/VCD player? What program(s) did you try on the PC?

Playback is normal on PC using WinDVD 4. Problem occurs with playback on my "Tongtel" stand alone player.
